How to Share Property Maps for Collaboration

Easily share measurements and map views with teammates or external collaborators to streamline handoffs, training, and communication.

SiteRecon makes it simple to share your property maps—whether you're working with internal teams or collaborating with clients and prospects. You can:

  • Help prospects visualize the scope during deal negotiations
  • Support a smooth transition to production after a sale
  • Train your crew and clarify site responsibilities
  • Enable feedback loops between sales, operations, and account management

There are two primary ways to share property data: public sharing (external) and internal collaboration (within your team).

Public Sharing

Use this when sharing map data with people outside your team, such as customers or subcontractors.

Public sharing is available only for approved orders.

Steps to Share a Public Link:

  1. Go to the Delivery Panel of an approved property

  2. Click the Share button

  3. A pop-up will appear with a public URL. Click the copy icon

  4. Share the link with anyone outside your organization

Tip: If you're sending this to a customer, include a short guide or context on how to use the shared view.

Features on a Publicly Shared Map:

  • View different features using the dropdown in the measurement table
  • Hover over a row in the table to highlight it on the map
  • Check the box in the table header to view total measurements for selected features
  • Zoom, pan, and move around the map freely
  • Toggle layers on/off using the right panel

Internal Sharing & Collaboration

Use this to collaborate across your team or organization with full visibility into shared orders.

To collaborate internally:

    • Users must be part of the same SiteRecon organization
    • On the My Properties page, you'll see two tabs:
      • Created by Me
      • All → shows all properties created within your organization

When you click 'All,' you can see the orders created by others in your organization - draft, ongoing, or approved measurements. You can see who has created the order on the table with the order date.

Internal Collaboration Use Cases:

  1. Sales oversight: A VP of Sales can use the "All" tab to review orders created by sales reps and track progress across active properties.
  2. Cross-team review: Business developers and estimators can collaborate on draft orders—adding comments, edits, and feedback before submission.
  3. Multi-location coordination: If you're an Account Manager in Louisville, you can ask your Dallas counterpart to review your draft or final measurements for consistency.
  4. Operational handoffs: Business developers place the initial orders, and Branch Managers can review, approve, or edit the data before it moves to production.

Sharing property maps—whether with teammates or customers—means less chasing, less explaining, and fewer mistakes.

Instead of sending screenshots or juggling email threads, you can share one link or give a teammate direct access, and they’ll see exactly what you see.

Whether you're closing a deal, handing off a job, or coaching your crew, SiteRecon helps you work faster, communicate more clearly, and feel confident that nothing is lost in translation.
