How to set default layer setting?

Personalize how your maps look, choose stroke colors, opacity, and more for each feature.

SiteRecon comes with a complete set of default layer styles, but you can customize them to better suit your visual preferences or align with your company’s internal standards.

When you update the style for a specific feature in the Feature Settings page, your changes will be applied automatically to all future orders—across all properties in your workspace—unless a specific property has its own custom styling.

How to Update Layer Styling:

  1. Go to Settings from your profile dropdown
  2. Navigate to the Feature Settings or Layer Styling section
  3. Choose the feature you want to customize
  4. Adjust the following:
    • Stroke strength (thickness of the boundary line)
    • Stroke color
    • Fill color (if applicable)

A preview panel on the right side of the screen will show you how your updated styling will look.

Tip: Customizing your default styles ensures consistency across your maps, making them easier to read, explain to clients, or train teams on.
