Introduction to SiteRecon Estimator

SiteRecon Estimator connects AI takeoffs directly to pricing logic, replacing spreadsheets and guesswork with a standardized, map-based system. This guide walks you through creating line-item estimates on the map, covering setup, step-by-step instructions, use cases, and pro tips so you can generate accurate, scalable bids with confidence.

What Is SiteRecon Estimator?

SiteRecon Estimator is not just an estimating tool, it’s a system that connects accurate measurements directly to pricing logic. Unlike CRMs or traditional takeoff tools, it eliminates the guesswork between measuring a property and turning that into a bid.

It’s the first platform purpose-built to solve the broken translation layer between takeoffs and line-item estimates, replacing fragile spreadsheets and gut-feel pricing with a standardized, scalable, map-based system.

What Makes SiteRecon Estimator Different?

Feature Old Way (Takeoff + Excel) SiteRecon Estimator
Measuring Done separately (often manually) Automated AI takeoffs
Data Translation Manual layer-to-line-item Services directly mapped to polygons
Production Rates Stored in spreadsheets or tribal knowledge Pre-built & customizable by property type
Estimate Creation Slow, error-prone Auto-generated from templates
Training & Scaling Requires senior estimator Repeatable system for any user
CRM Integration Takeoff data not aligned

Estimator output plugs directly into proposal workflows

What You Can Do with SiteRecon Estimator?

  • Generate line-item estimates for mowing, trimming, blowing, mulching, etc., directly from map layers
  • Assign services to polygons during or after takeoff, no manual translation needed
  • Apply market-specific production rates for different property types and difficulty levels
  • Export or share proposal-ready bids with detailed breakdowns
  • Use role-based access: junior reps can estimate safely using guardrails; senior estimators can configure complex jobs

Use Cases

  • Estimating recurring maintenance contracts for commercial properties
  • Quoting enhancement services (like mulch, seasonal cleanups, upgrades)
  • Training new estimators and reps without margin risk
  • Reviewing estimates for accuracy during coaching or onboarding
  • Standardizing pricing across branches or acquired companies

Requirements to Use SiteRecon Estimator

  • An active SiteRecon subscription with sufficient credits
  • A completed AI Takeoff for the property (can be ordered within the same workflow)
  • Role permissions for Estimating (set by admin)

Estimator’s Place in Your Workflow

SiteRecon Estimator is not a CRM or a proposal generator. It fits between your takeoff and your proposal. It ensures the quantities you're quoting are not just measured accurately, but also priced accurately, based on structured logic.

This makes it an ideal companion to CRMs like Aspire, LMN, or even custom Excel-based workflows. You don’t have to replace your CRM. You just have to stop pricing on guesswork.

How to Estimate a Property Using the Map?

SiteRecon Estimator lets you generate detailed, line-item estimates directly on the map, eliminating the need for spreadsheets, data translation, or manual calculations. It’s the only solution built to tie map-based takeoffs to pricing logic, helping you create estimates that are accurate, repeatable, and ready to scale.

This guide explains how to go from property selection to a finalized, reviewable estimate, without ever leaving the map.

Before You Begin

Make sure you have:

  • A completed AI Takeoff for the property (done by SiteRecon)
  • Available Subscription Credits in your account
  • The necessary role permissions to estimate (check with your admin)

Step-by-Step: Estimating a Property on the Map

Here is a step-wise process of placing an estimation order at SiteRecon:

  1. Login to SiteRecon
  2. Click on “Create Property” on the dashboard
    Create Property SS1 (2)
  3. Enter property address in the search bar
    Property Address SS (1)
  4. Select “Estimation Order” and then click on “Create Order”
    Estimation Order SS (1)
  5. Click on “Confirm Parcel”. You can draw, edit, and cut parcel at this stage as well before confirming
    Confirm Parcel SS
  6. After you confirm the parcel, a pop-up shows up with all the services packages. Select the packages based on your requirements and then click on “Done” and then click on “Get Estimate”
    Packages SS (1)
  7. Your estimation has now been placed. You next see the progress of your order on the screen
    Estimation Progress SS (1)

What Makes This Different from Other Systems?

With most platforms:

  • Takeoffs and estimates are separate tools
  • Estimators manually “translate” polygons into service items
  • Production rates live in spreadsheets or tribal knowledge
  • Output is rarely standardized across users or branches

With SiteRecon Estimator:

  • Takeoffs and estimates happen on the same map
  • Services are mapped to polygons
  • Estimates are built on structured logic
  • Outputs are reviewable, coachable, and scalable

Pro Tips for Power Users

  • Leverage industry-standard production rates included in SiteRecon or upload your own
  • Use the notes section in each line item to explain assumptions or special considerations
  • Restrict editing rights for junior users to ensure pricing control
  • Conduct line-by-line reviews with new estimators to coach and calibrate
