How to edit an estimation order in SiteRecon?

Estimates delivered by SiteRecon can’t be edited directly. If you need to adjust pricing, update services, or test new models, you must create a copy of the original estimate. This article walks you through how to duplicate an estimate, choose between editing both takeoff and estimation or just the estimate view, and save your changes, all while keeping the original intact.

Once SiteRecon delivers an estimate, it reflects all the services, quantities, production rates, and pricing logic based on the approved takeoff. If you need to make changes, whether it’s tweaking pricing, modifying service items, or customizing the estimate for a proposal, you can’t directly edit the original.

Instead, you’ll need to create a copy of the estimate and make changes in that version.

Steps to Edit an Estimation Order

Once SiteRecon team has completed the estimation order, the status of your property will change to “Pricing Done”. You will also receive an email informing you of the same. You can go check the estimation and make necesssary changes if needed. Follow these steps make edits to your estimation order:

  1. Open your property go to the estimation by clicking on the icon as shown below:

  2. You will see the “Estimation View 1” created by SiteRecon team. Review it and if you need to make changes to it, then click on “Create a Copy”.

    1. Now you will see two options:
    • You can create a “Takeoff + Estimation Copy” if you wish to edit items on map, change service assignments to map items.
    • You can create an “Only Estimation View Copy” if you wish to Update frequencies, prices, map measurements or try a different price model.

    Select the option that suits your requirements and click on “Proceed”

  4. Once you click on “Proceed”, a new view will be created where you will be able to make changes. Once you make the necessary changes, click on “Approve” to save this view where you made the changes.

Important Notes

  • You can create multiple copies from the same original estimate.
  • All copied estimates are marked as such for clarity.
  • Edits made in a copy do not trigger rework from SiteRecon.
