How to create a note on Plato Mobile App?
Document site issues, service updates, or enhancement ideas in seconds, right on the map.
Whether you’re tracking site conditions, flagging service issues, or sharing enhancement opportunities, Plato Notes help you communicate clearly with zero back-and-forth or guesswork.
You can drop notes anywhere on the map, attach images, assign teammates, and even use pre-made templates to make note-taking fast and standardized.
Steps to Create a Note in Plato
1. Start Your Note
- Tap the Notes icon on the bottom right side of the screen
- Or, tap Create Note in the Notes section of the property panel
2. Add Core Details
- Enter a title and brief description of the note
- (Optional) Select a note template to auto-fill the structure
- Tap the camera icon to take a photo in real time
- Tap the clip icon to upload images or documents from your gallery
3. Use Templates (Optional)
- If you choose a template, it will auto-fill parts of your note
- Templates also assign tags automatically
- You can still add a title and media manually, then tap Next to proceed
4. Tag Your Note for Easy Tracking
- Tap the +Tag icon to browse or search for tags
- Tags help you quickly filter notes later (e.g., "enhancement", "safety", "crew feedback")
- After selecting a tag, click Done
💡 If you’re using a template, tags will be applied automatically. You can always add more if needed.
5. Drop the Note on the Map
- Drag the note pin to the exact location on the map
- Tap Create to save the note
This geo-tags the note for precise visual context.
6. Add Assignees, Linked Layers & More (Optional)
- You can assign the note to a team member
- Link it to a specific layer (e.g., turf, tree, sidewalk)
- Add or remove tags
- Add follow-up comments or instructions
You can update your note anytime from the Notes on Plato panel.
Need to Hide or Show Notes on the Map?
Tap the eye icon at the top-right corner of the Notes Panel to toggle note visibility on the map.
