Getting Started with Scout AI

What is Scout?

Scout is SiteRecon's self-serve AI measurement tool. Enter a property address, choose your measurement package, and Scout returns a multi-layer takeoff from aerial imagery in minutes — no site visit, no manual tracing. Your measurements are stored in your account and ready to use for estimates and exports whenever you need them.

Scout is available for property addresses in the United States and Canada.

Scout plans at a glance

Scout offers a freemium plan in which there are 2 free properties per month up to 20 property acres/month. With all paid plans, you get property acres measurements credits.

How credits work:

• Scout paid plan measurements cost 1 credit per property acre. Acreage is based on parcel size, rounded up to the nearest full acre.
• Monthly credits expire at the end of each billing cycle — they don't roll over. Credits can't be topped off mid-cycle. Need more capacity? Upgrade from $39 to $79 directly inside your account (prorated), or move to a Growth, Teams, or Partner plan by contacting sales.
• Paying annually delivers your full year of credits upfront — 240 credits on the $39 plan, 600 on the $79 plan — so you can measure heavily in busy months.

Your first measurement in 3 steps

1. Enter the property address.
   Scout locates the parcel from aerial imagery. No standard address? Drop a pin to mark the property manually.

2. Choose your measurement package.
   Scout offers 4 presets:

   1. Lawn Care — Turf, Mulch, Soft Beds
   2. Landscape — Turf, Mulch, Soft Beds, Hard Edge, Tree, Parking Lot, All Sidewalks — which covers both driveways and sidewalks
   3. Snow — Sidewalks, Parking Lots, Driveways
   4. Other — Custom select: choose exactly the layers you need

3. Get your measurement
   Scott returns your multi-layer takeoff in seconds. From there you can review layers, run a benchmark estimate or export to XLS.
   
   Tip: Our freemium plan includes 2 free property measurements each month (up to 20 acres each) — use them to get comfortable with the packages before subscribing with paid features.

4. What you can do with your measurements

   1. Review every layer of the property broken out by service area, with the imagery capture date visible
   2. Fine-tune boundaries with self-measurement editing at no cost
   3. Rate your measurement with a quick thumbs up or thumbs down — your feedback helps Scout calibrate and get even more accurate over time
   4. Run standard benchmark takeoffs and estimates using SiteRecon's built-in production rates and quantities (custom production rates and takeoff resource settings are available on Growth, Teams, and Partner plans)
   5. Export to XLS — measurement details, takeoff quantities, and estimation outputs — or export a map image (.png)
   6. Store unlimited properties — everything you measure stays in your account

Managing your plan

1. 1. Billing:
      Paid plans auto-renew monthly or annually until cancelled.

   2. Upgrading from $39 to $79:
      Upgrade anytime from inside your SiteRecon account — prorated, no sales call needed.

   3. Moving to Growth, Teams, or Partner:
      These plans add team access, custom production rates, credit top-offs, Done-For-You takeoffs, and CRM integrations. Reach out through online chat, by phone, or at sales@siterecon.ai. When you upgrade, you keep access to all of your Scout property measurements, and you receive a one-time bank of 10 free Scout property measurements to use anytime (the 2 free properties per month no longer apply).

   4. Cancelling:
      Cancel anytime from your User Profile Settings (there's a quick 3-question survey). Monthly cancellations take effect the day before your next renewal; annual plans can be cancelled up until the day before renewal. All sales are final. No refunds. After cancellation, your account moves to the Free plan — you keep all your measured properties and get 2 free properties per month.
