How to comment and mention on notes?
Keep everyone in the loop with context-rich conversations tied to the map.
Plato makes it easy to communicate directly on site-specific notes. Whether you're providing updates, asking a question, or sharing context, comments keep your conversations organized and connected to the work.
You can also use @mentions to notify teammates, crew members, or clients, so the right people see the right information, right when it matters.
Why Use Comments on Notes?
- Track progress or job status
- Clarify site instructions
- Loop in a teammate or client for review
- Leave follow-ups directly where the work is happening
Steps to Add a Comment on a Note
- Select the property where the note is located
- Browse the Notes Panel and open the note you want to comment on
- Click the + Comment button in the bottom right corner
- Type your message, then click the arrow icon to post it
- To tag someone, type @ and choose their name from the list
They will be notified, and the comment will appear in the note's comment thread.
Tag vs. Assign: What's the Difference?
- @Mention is used to bring someone’s attention to a note
- Assigning a note gives someone ownership of that task
You can tag a manager for review and assign a crew member to take action- all within the same note.
