How to Assign a Note and Track Its Status in Plato Mobile App?

Turn notes into action by assigning them as tasks and stay on top of what’s done and what still needs attention.

Notes in Plato aren’t just for observations, they can become accountable tasks. By assigning a note to a team member, you ensure ownership, and with status updates, the entire team can track progress at a glance.

This makes field communication clearer, follow-ups easier, and site performance more traceable.

Understanding Note Statuses

  • Open: Default status once a note is assigned. Indicates the task is pending.
  • Resolved: When the assignee feels the issue has been addressed, they can mark it resolved. This action also appears in the note’s comment section.
  • Re-Open: If the issue isn’t fully resolved, anyone can reopen the note to keep it active.

This built-in workflow prevents loose ends and keeps your entire team on the same page.

How to Assign a Note to a Team Member

  1. Open the note from the map or Notes Panel
  2. Tap the Assignee icon (bottom-left of the note window)
  3. Select the user you want to assign the note to
  4. Tap Confirm

You’ll now see the updated assignee’s name on the note card and they’ll be notified accordingly.

Note: The note's current status is always visible in the top-right corner of the card inside the Notes Panel.

How This Makes Your Life Easier?

  • You know who’s on it because the note is assigned, not floating
  • You can see what’s done and what’s still pending without chasing people down
  • Every update’s logged, so there’s no “he said, she said”
  • Everyone (from sales to ops to production) is finally on the same page.
